Description
The Porsche 935 is a high-performance sports car produced by Porsche. It was first introduced in 1976 as a racing car, and its production continued until 1981. In 2018, Porsche announced a limited-edition production of a modern-day version of the 935 race car, paying tribute to the original 935.
The 2019 Porsche 935 is a track-only sports car, built on the 911 GT2 RS chassis, featuring a 3.8-liter flat-six engine that delivers 690 horsepower. The car is equipped with a seven-speed PDK gearbox, carbon ceramic brakes, and an aerodynamic body kit.
The exterior design of the car is inspired by the iconic 935/78 “Moby Dick” race car from 1978, featuring a long tail, wide fenders, and a large rear wing. The interior is race-focused, with a roll cage, bucket seats, and a digital instrument cluster.
Only 77 units of the Porsche 935 were produced, each with a price tag of over $800,000. The car is targeted at track enthusiasts and collectors who want to experience the thrill of driving a modern version of the iconic Porsche 935 race car. The car is not street legal and can only be driven on closed tracks or private property.
