Description
The RUF CTR “Yellowbird” is a modified version of the Porsche 911, produced by RUF Automobile GmbH from 1987 to 1995. It featured a modified twin-turbocharged flat-six engine producing up to 469 horsepower and a lightweight body that helped it achieve a top speed of 211 miles per hour. The car gained fame for its appearance in the 1988 German motoring magazine “sport auto” where it set a lap time of 8:05 around the Nurburgring Nordschleife, a record at the time for a production car. The “Yellowbird” remains a highly sought-after collector’s car today.
