The BMW M3 E36 was produced from 1992 to 1999 and was the second generation of the BMW M3. It was available as a coupe, convertible, and sedan. The E36 M3 was powered by a 3.0-liter inline-six engine that produced up to 321 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque in the US-spec version. The European version had a more powerful 3.2-liter engine. The E36 M3 featured upgraded brakes, suspension, and a limited-slip differential. It was also available with a manual or automatic transmission. The M3 E36 was a popular track car and was successful in motorsports, winning many races and championships.
