Description
The Audi Sport Quattro was a high-performance rally car produced by Audi from 1984 to 1985. It was based on the Audi Quattro but had a shorter wheelbase and was lighter. The car was powered by a turbocharged 2.1-liter inline-five engine that produced around 300 horsepower. It had a sophisticated all-wheel-drive system that made it very competitive on the rally stages. The Sport Quattro won several rallies during its short career, including the 1984 Monte Carlo Rally. It was also produced in limited numbers for homologation purposes, with only around 200 road-going examples built. Today, the Audi Sport Quattro is considered a classic rally car and is highly sought-after by collectors.
