Description
The 1996 Chevy Impala SS was a full-size sedan that was based on the Caprice platform. It was powered by a 5.7-liter V8 engine that produced 260 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque, and was mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. The Impala SS featured a sport-tuned suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, and 17-inch wheels. It also had a distinctive exterior with a blacked-out grille, body-colored side moldings, and unique badging. The 1996 Impala SS was the last year of production for the model until it was reintroduced in 2014.
