Description

The 1983 Audi Quattro was a sports coupe that revolutionized the world of rally racing with its advanced four-wheel drive system. It featured a turbocharged 2.1-liter five-cylinder engine that produced 200 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque, and it could accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 7 seconds. The Quattro’s true innovation was its all-wheel drive system, which gave it exceptional grip and handling on both tarmac and gravel surfaces. It dominated the World Rally Championship in the 1980s, winning the championship in 1982 and 1984, and helped establish Audi as a serious player in the world of motorsports. The Audi Quattro was also successful in the production car market, with over 11,000 units produced between 1980 and 1991.
