Description
The Audi R8 LMS is a GT3 class race car designed and built by Audi’s motorsport division, Audi Sport. It was first introduced in 2009, based on the production Audi R8 sports car. The car features a mid-engine layout and is powered by a naturally aspirated V10 engine producing up to 585 horsepower. The R8 LMS has achieved numerous victories and championships in GT3 racing, including three overall wins at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring and three wins at the 24 Hours of Spa. Audi also introduced an updated version of the R8 LMS in 2015, featuring improved aerodynamics and an updated engine producing up to 585 horsepower.
