Description

The 1956 Aston Martin DBR1 was a racing car designed specifically for endurance racing. It was powered by a 2.5-liter straight-six engine producing 250 horsepower, and featured a lightweight tubular frame and an aerodynamic body designed for high-speed performance. The DBR1 achieved its greatest success at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where it won overall in 1959. It also won the 1000 km Nürburgring in 1959 and 1960. The DBR1 is considered one of the most iconic and successful sports racing cars of its time, and only five were ever built.
