Description
The Audi TT was first introduced in 1998 as a concept car, and went into production in 1999 as a 2-door sports car. The first generation (1999-2006) was available as a coupe or roadster, and featured a distinctive design with rounded curves and a prominent “tuba” exhaust. The interior was notable for its “aviation-inspired” design, featuring round air vents and a dashboard with no visible screws or fasteners. The TT was available with a range of engines, including a 1.8-liter turbocharged inline-4, a 3.2-liter V6, and a high-performance 1.8-liter turbocharged inline-4 in the TT-S and TT-RS models.
The second generation TT (2006-2014) had a more angular design, and was available in a 2-door coupe or roadster body style. It featured a range of engines, including a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4, a 3.2-liter V6, and a high-performance 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-5 in the TT-RS model.
The third generation TT was introduced in 2014 and is still in production. It features a sharper and more aggressive design, and is available as a 2-door coupe or roadster. The third generation TT is available with a range of engines, including a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4, a 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-5 in the TTS model, and a high-performance 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-5 in the TT-RS model.
